Entry Requirements for EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification – Workplace Assessment & AM2E Exam
At MOS Training, we deliver this nationally recognised qualification for electricians with existing site experience who want to gain formal recognition and progress to Installation Electrician status. The qualification follows the Experienced Worker Assessment Route and includes workplace assessment and the AM2E final competence test.
Who Can Take This Course?
✔ Practising electricians with at least 5 years of experience on-site
✔ Workers who have not previously completed an electrical apprenticeship or NVQ
✔ Electricians looking to apply for a JIB Gold Card or formal ECS recognition
Required Experience
✔ Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical installation
✔ Practical experience in first fix, second fix, inspection, testing, and fault-finding
✔ Access to live site work to gather evidence for portfolio completion
You must also hold:
✔ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (current version)
✔ Level 3 Initial Verification qualification (e.g. EAL Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations)
